*Although this 12-window model would lose to a bicycle in a drag race, you will always, always see the zombies coming. Toss in water and gas hook-ups, along with easy engine access for repairs on-the-fly, and that’s some undead Fahrvergnügen right there., *FREDERIC J. BROWN/AFP/Getty Images**

In post-apocalypse America, when you’re outrunning zombies, fighting equally bloodthirsty human factions and traversing dangerous stretches of country, you want a vehicle you can rely on. The AMC series *The Walking Dead* has put its players in stout stuff: beater pickups, Humvees, the occasional Winnebago. But this is fantasy TV; cars in a zombie apocalypse should be fantastic, too. We thought, *Let’s do the showrunner a solid and recast the vehicles*. So we did.
