On today's installment of Drive Wire, *The Drive* discusses the news that [VW and U.S. authorities could reach an agreement on how to deal with Volkswagen A.G.'s vehicles powered by 3.0-liter diesel](<https://www.autonews.com/article/20160831/COPY01/308319972/vw-could-agree-to-u-s-large-car-diesel-fix-by-october-audi-sales>) V6 engines as soon as October. According to *Automotive News*, Audi's global head of sales and marketing says talks are going along swimmingly between the two sides in regards to finding a solution for the 85,000 Porsche, VW, and Audi vehicles in the United States equipped with the errant turbodiesel motors.
