Today on Drive Wire, *The Drive* discusses the news that a pair of leading [automotive suppliers are developing a system that could make self-driving cars](<https://www.theverge.com/2016/8/23/12603624/delphi-mobileye-self-driving-autonomous-car-2019>) a reality by 2019. [Delphi](<https://www.thedrive.com/article/4661/drive-wire-for-august-1st-2016-delphi-to-test-self-driving-taxis-in-singapore>) and [Mobileye](<https://www.thedrive.com/news/4585/tesla-is-ending-its-partnership-with-mobileye>) have announced they are jointly developing a pre-made autonomous package that automakers will be able to install on a wide variety of different varieties of vehicles.
