# Drive Wire for August 5th, 2016: Driver Claims Tesla Model S Crashed While on Autopilot

Today on Drive Wire, a dashcam video of a Tesla Model S from China is making waves. The driver of the Tesla claims Autopilot was engaged when the car sideswiped a vehicle parked on the left shoulder of a highway near Beijing. This is the second such reported crash where the Autopilot was allegedly active, the first incident occurring [two months ago in Switzerland, also involving a Model S](<https://www.thedrive.com/news/3679/watch-yet-another-tesla-model-s-crash-while-on-autopilot>).
