# The Lamborghini Urus Configurator Is a Righteous Time Sink

[Lamborghini finally took wraps off of its Urus SUV this week,](<https://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/16654/2019-lamborghini-urus-revealed-packing-641-hp-v-8-and-200000-base-price>) didn't you hear? Met with a, let's say, [polarizing](<https://twitter.com/Dogknob1/status/937774001702744065>) reception, [the offroader from Sant'Agata](<https://www.thedrive.com/article/16698/the-urus-isnt-your-grandads-lamborghini-for-better-or-worse>) aims to bring Lambo's Italian, exotic-looking sheet metal to private school dropoff processions from Beverly Hills to Beijing.

Love it or hate it, [the online configurator](<https://configurator.lamborghini.com/configurator/presets/MBV-24009-2019?lang=eng&country=it>) is now live and is definitely worth a poke around. It's not like you had anything productive planned, amirite? Those expense reports can wait and you deserve a break anyway.

So, what'll it be? Something white and nondescript to blend in with the Cayennes and X6s in the Montessori parking lot, or a loudly-painted, Skittle-colored affair more in line with the Lambo that graced your bedroom wall as a child? Weirdly, the configurator doesn't seem to offer many paint schemes that are *too* out there, unlike [Aston with the new Vantage](<https://www.thedrive.com/article/16355/avoid-your-family-this-thanksgiving-with-aston-martins-vantage-configurator>). No lime greens or weird purples here, but I'm sure [Lamborghini's Ad Personam program](<https://www.lamborghini.com/en-en/models/ad-personam>) will spray the Urus to your specifications if one is really on your shopping list.

The Lamborghini Urus is the fastest production SUV ever made, featuring 650-horsepower, 672 pound-feet of torque, a zero to 62 mph time of 3.6 seconds, and a top speed of 189-mph. All that is thanks to a [Chinese tax-friendly](<https://www.worldwatch.org/node/3900>), 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8.

For interested Lambo lovers with much deeper pockets than I, the Urus will run you approximately $200,000. For the rest of us "just browsing," clicking the Lambo logo on the top left of the configurator will let you switch to the Aventador.
