Audi of America [reported](<https://media.audiusa.com/en-us/releases/208>) its November sales figures Friday, and for the 83rd consecutive month, things are looking up.

The German automaker is reporting a 12 percent increase in overall sales compared to the same month last year and a growth of almost 7 percent year-to-date. In total, the company has sold 199,534 Audis since January. The firm's strong financial performance last month can mainly be attributed to the [Q5](<https://thestore.thedrive.com/>) and Q7 crossovers (what a surprise) in addition to the new-for-America [A5 Sportback](<https://thestore.thedrive.com/>).

Compared to November 2016, Q5 sales for the month increased 31 percent while its bigger, [Q7](<https://thestore.thedrive.com/>) sibling jumped by 26 percent. As for the A5, Audi sold 2,243 of them in the last 30 days—more than quadruple what it sold in the same timeframe last year—with the new four-door Sportback version accounting for more than half of that figure.

"Positive consumer response to the Q7, new Q5 and new-to-the U.S. A5 Sportback shows that Audi's award-winning engineering and technology can succeed in a highly competitive market," said Audi of America COO Cian O'Brien. "Encouraged by robust consumer demand and our annual Season of Audi Sales event, we're positioned for a strong finish to 2017."

In order to position me for a strong finish to this article, here's a fun fact: In the last 30 days, Audi has moved precisely 39 [R8 supercars](<https://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/11431/2017-audi-r8-spyder-review-audi-weaves-a-stylish-web>) while only selling 38 [A3 e-trons](<https://thestore.thedrive.com/>). I guess V-10 supercars really do outsell sensible, electric compacts.
