Enter the racing version of Toyota's SF-R concept, a pint-size coupelet with an industrial-grade dose of aggro. Taking the gawp-mouthed machine shown at this year's Tokyo Motor Show to its illogical extreme, the racing version of the SF-R gets slammed to the ground on a 50mm lower suspension, while growing in width and length thanks to extended fenders, a carbon-fiber diffuser with central-exit exhaust, new aero side-skirts and a rear spoiler big enough to function as a sushi bar.

Under that ventilated hood, cooled by a grille with the surface area of a [MiG-21](<https://www.thedrive.com/tech/718/declassified-listen-to-a-crazy-dogfight-between-u-s-tomcats-and-libyan-migs>)’s jet intake, lurks unknown power. Forum chatter, however, seems to be coalescing around a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower.

That's... not a lot. Still, as an ultra-lightweight machine intended to slot below the GT86—marketed in the U.S. as the Scion FR-S—in both power and mass, the SF-R Racing Concept could be thought of as a modern-day, race-prepped [Miata](<https://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/147/the-2016-mazda-mx-5-miata-will-eat-your-supercar>).

Ready to debut at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon, it's doubtful whether this furious Lilliputian will make it to this side of the Pacific. Pity; we wouldn't have minded unleashing it on the local go-kart track.
