Dearborn has actually done it. Fifty years after the GT40’s iconic photo finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ford's new GT has taken a class win at the world’s greatest endurance race. The winning No. 68 car, driven by Dirk Muller, Sebastien Bourdais, and California’s own Joey Hand, started from pole position. But Ferrari took the fight to the Ford throughout; one of the Red Cars, Risi Competizione's No. 51 driven by Giancarlo Fisichella, finished not far behind the winning GT on the same lap.

So cue up the above video. Take a 360-degree, virtual reality victory lap of Circuit de la Sarthe with Joey Hand inside the winning No. 68 Ford GT. This one's well-earned.
