Tragic news from the world stock car racing, as [*NBC Sports* is reporting](<https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2015/12/20/daughter-of-bk-racing-crew-chief-joe-williams-killed-in-car-crash/>) that Stephanie Rembert, the daughter of NASCAR crew chief Joe Williams, has died from injuries sustained in a “freak car accident.” The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon outside in Randolph County, North Carolina, just outside Asheboro. Rembert, a mother of two young children, passed away after being airlifted to a local hospital.

Williams heads the No. 23 Sprint Cup Toyota. A fellow BK Racing employee, Roy Gangdal, has set up a [Go Fund Me page](<https://www.gofundme.com/87frg3gs>) for the family. The fundraising campaign hopes to raise $25,000 to help with expenses and establish a trust fund for Rembert’s children, ages 6 and 8. NASCAR has always been about families, Frances and Pettys or Earnhardts. Right now, it’s about the Williams and Rembert clan. Even if it’s just a few bucks, let’s help one of our own get through this unimaginably difficult time.
