Erstwhile Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May have been filming location segments for their new show since last October. And yet, as of last week, the program was still untitled. True to form, the guys made a big deal of it, releasing a video of them failing to agree on a name. It all stunk of a marketing ploy. Thankfully, we can now finally put that one to rest. Clarkson, Hammond and May have announced the name of their forthcoming Amazon Prime series. It’s going to be called The Grand Tour, and it’s set to air this fall.

Other details are emerging, too. As the name indicates, The Grand Tour will be a traveling roadshow, taping in a different location each week. Instead of a studio, the gang will film inside a tent, which Hammond described on Twitter as “MASSIVE.” (His emphasis, all caps.) According to a report from Variety, the show’s still set to be filmed in front of a live audience. This summer, Amazon will run a prize drawing for at least some of the tickets. It appears that the show will be shooting both in U.K. and abroad, meaning American fans might finally be able to see Clarkson, Hammond and May live. Which is fantastic.

The full filming schedule, ticket info, and list of locations should be released soon. In the meantime, The Grand Tour has set up an official website and Facebook page, where it has already posted a photo of James May posing with a donkey.

The naming announcement comes just days after the BBC dropped an extended trailer for the revamped Top Gear. It’s incredible to see two major automotive television series preparing to launch, each with enormous budgets and production resources, an embarrassment of riches for car enthusiasts. Get excited, guys. This is going to be a good year for us.
