Hard to argue with twin turbos and all-wheel-drive.

By this point, the Internet practically deserves its own little corner dedicated to twin-turbo Lamborghinis performing ridiculous feats of speed. Almost since the moment the Gallardo began rolling off the Sant'Agata production line back in 2003, tuners have been strapping snails onto the supercar maker's V-10 models and ramping the horsepower numbers up into to quadruple digits...thus enabling some of the world's douchiest drivers the chance to match their egos by blasting around the highways of places like South Florida and Dubai at triple-digit speeds in the heat of the night.

But there's nothing stupid about this 1,439-wheel horsepower Lamborghini Huracan TwinTurbo GTT-X's quarter mile prowess.

First off, yes, that's not a typo—that's almost 1,500 horsepower at the wheels. Which means this Lambo is probably making closer to 1,700 ponies at the crank. And that, according to the video's description, was at low boost. Just as remarkable, up-and-coming builder Gosha Turbo Tech says the car still uses both the stock seven-speed dual clutch transmission, as well as the stock tires.

Regardless, the combination is enough to send the Huracan TwinTurbo GTT-X across the quarter mile line at Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina circuit 8.37 seconds after launch, at a trap speed of 170.5 miles per hour. Since the automotive world is currently obsessed with a certain 840-horsepower muscle car, we at The Drive feel obliged to point out that this twin-turbo Lamborghini beats the Dodge Demon down the drag strip by 1.28 seconds. (Or, to put it another way, it's 13 percent quicker.)

And since the Huracan packs the traction advantage of having twice as many drive wheels, we don't see the Demon catching up—no matter how many extra ponies Hennessey stuffs under that massive hood.
