Three Minutes With Sportbike Champ Jake Gagne

What’s his take on his new bike, his team, and the state of motorcycle racing in America?

As one of the U.S.'s most promising young motorcycle racers, Jake Gagne has competed in the Spanish Moto2 Championship, the Red Bull AMA Rookies Cup and the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, which he won in 2010, and the AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike Championship, which he won in 2014. 

For the past three seasons, the 2015 MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 Champion has raced in the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship, an AMA sanctioned series presided over by former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer Wayne Rainey.

In April, Gagne debuted a new bike at COTA, for his third season in the MotoAmerica series. Contributor to The Drive, Michael Prichinello caught up with Gagne at his official first race event with the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR SP2, for team Genuine Broaster Chicken / Honda (GBCH).
