When we first heard about the Trans Am Bandit Edition, we were enthralled. A Chevy Camaro SS-turned-Trans Am complete with T-tops, custom front- and rear fascias, and a 7.4-liter supercharged V8 that cranks out 840 ponies? Please excuse the drool. Then we met the guys behind the monster, Scott and Tod Warmack, brothers and co-founders of Trans Am Worldwide, at the New York Auto Show. Generous fellows that they are, they extended an invite for us to drop down to Tallahassee, Florida and tour their expansive factory—and to get some wheel time with one of their insane creations.

The sum of their efforts is nothing short of incredible. Their coupes are so potent you'll get wheel chirp in third gear as you crest 120 mph. The roar emerging from the upfitted exhaust, in combination with the delightful whine of the supercharger, results in a mélange of loud that you can never tire of. And, as your foot forces the accelerator to the floor and the car mashes you back into your seat, it's impossible not to grin like a buffoon. Don't believe us? See—and hear—for yourself.
