With the two biggest days of the shopping year already past, you can bet that someone in your family or friends list will be getting an Amazon Echo for the holidays. A convenient tool to set reminders, play music, and even control your home thermostat, the Echo can do a lot more than you'd ever expect it to -- like start your car. In this commercial, you can see that the handy gadget connects to your Hyundai's BlueLink system, remotely starting your car AND setting the climate control. This may be a bit of a gimmick, but it's useful nonetheless.

It's the little things like this that are starting to build value in Hyundai's products. Smart technology combined with affordable and, most importantly, reliable vehicles have been earning a name for the once overlooked Korean company. A stellar 10 year/100.000 mile powertrain warranty is also impressive. With the Sonata being the star of the lineup, expect to see a lot of the newest tech appear there first.

The company continues to piece it together each year, in more ways than this minor feature. To keep up with the likes of Toyota and Honda, they'll have to.
