Created by auto industry super pair Henrik Fisker and Bob Lutz, the 745-horsepower, $268,500 VLF Force 1 is hand-built and based on the Dodge Viper—a car that's set to go out of production later next month due to more stringent safety regs that kick in this September. Don't think that means the VLF is dead in the water, though.

Speaking to Automotive News, Fisker himself said that thanks to a partnership with race car driver Ben Keating, Force 1 production will not be affected by the Viper's demise. "We have more than enough donor cars to be able to do the Force 1. He bought them early on for this project," said Fisker. Keating apparently owns a specialty Viper dealership in Texas and has enough donor cars for VLF's planned, 50 car production run.

The insane VLF Force 1 packs the Viper's 8.4-liter V-10 in a carbon fiber body good for 745 horses and 638-pound-feet of torque, a 3-second 0-60 MPH time, and a top speed of 218 MPH. "These are hand-built specialty cars for collectors," said Fisker. Collectors who recently started taking the first deliveries of their Force 1s, according to Fisker.

Considering the Viper is sold out for the rest of time, does anyone have $269,000 we can borrow?
