On Sunday at SpeedVegas, a track-focused exotic car rental location, two men were killed after the driver lost control of a Lamborghini, crashing into a barrier and catching on fire, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports. The driver of the white Lamborghini—a Gallardo, according to SpeedVegas's website—was a man in his mid-thirties, and his instructor was in his mid-fifties.

Las Vegas-based institution allows everyday people to drive supercars

SpeedVegas allows customers 18 and older to pilot an exotic car of their choosing and be accompanied by a track instructor. Cars range from a Ford Shelby GT to a Lamborghini Aventador, and the track was built just for the company, with 20-degree banked turns and 12 corners.

In a statement posted to Facebook on Sunday afternoon after the crash, Aaron Fessler, co-founder and CEO of SpeedVegas, wrote: "Today, an accident on the track resulted in the deaths of a SpeedVegas employee and a customer. We are fully cooperating with investigators at this time. We are devastated by this tragic event and extend our heartfelt sympathy to the families and to our SpeedVegas team members who have lost a beloved colleague."

Once the Clark County Coroner notifies the men's next of kin, their names will be released.
