The new Cadillac CT6, BMW’s SEMA showing, Porsche’s involvement in Dieselgate, adaptive surround-sound audio, and a huge wave.

Hey guys, it’s Christina Thompson, and this is Drive Wire for Wednesday, November 4th.
Cadillac has announced that its range-topping CT6 sedan will be arriving in dealerships in March. Pricing starts at just under 55,000 for the 272-horsepower 2-liter turbo four cylinder, and tops out just under a healthy 85,000 dollars for the twin-turbo 3-liter V6 platinum edition. The new V6 will make a whopping 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, allowing for quick, stylish escapes.
As SEMA fast approaches, auto manufacturers and mod shops scramble to flex their muscles. This year, BMW will bring an M2, and an M4, along with a slathering of performance parts for both. SEMA is traditionally seen as a showcase for Asian and American brands, but for the second year in a row, BMW has come packing M-performance goodies. In classic SEMA fashion, both the M2 and M4 feature heavily modified bodywork and interiors, and both, if you ask us, look gorgeous.
Turning to business news, it seems that VW subsidiary Porsche— maybe you’ve heard of them— is now embroiled in the Dieselgate shenanigans. The EPA is saying that emissions-masking software has been found in diesel Cayenne models, allowing them to skirt emissions laws in the same manner as VW’s 4-cylinder diesels. However, Porsche spokesmen say the EPA has it wrong this time and that the software is a legitimate anti-pollution measure. This is the first time the Volkswagen group has pushed back on any of the diesel-cheating allegations, so this one could lead to fireworks.
