DYNAMIC. POWER. AGILITY. These, apparently, are the buzzwords Mercedes-Benz wants you to associate with the new GLC Coupe. We'd add one more: OVERSTEER. Because, based on this video of a tastefully-disguised GLC Coupe running some laps in the wet, this bustle-butt Benz is more than happy to hang that ass out through the turns.

The video—which is basically just 30 seconds of the X6-like "coupe" ripping around a track—doesn't offer much in the way of salient details about the latest addition to Mercedes-Benz's already comprehensive SUV portfolio. But based on the rip-snortin' exhaust note (and Mercedes' apparent desire to slap AMG V6s in everything they can), it seems a safe bet that Mercedes-Benz will be offering a GLC43 version of the GLC Coupe. As with the regular, boxy GLC-Class, the GLC Coupe will likely also be available in a tame GLC300 version, too.

We'll know for sure come March 23, when Mercedes unveils it in the halls of New York City's Jacob K. Javits Center during the 2016 New York Auto Show. We will, of course, be there. Mercedes-Benz's booth usually has some solid coffee, if nothing else.

And we know the ship sailed on this a loooong time ago, but we have to say it: No matter how wind-swept its roof line is, no matter how many focus groups say the name is a good idea, a four-door sport utility vehicle is not, and can never be made into, a coupe.
